GIP website 2019-2020
It Always Seems Impossible Until It's Done
This is a remake of my original final-project website (2019–2020), rebuilt in the style of this portfolio.

I'm Rik Puts, 17 years old and living in Lichtaart. I work as a waiter at the Netherust in Kasterlee. I'm also a leader at the KSA. My track is Electronics-ICT. In my free time I game and try to build things with what I've already learned at school and on YouTube. This summer break, over the last two weeks, I built a website for my parents' music group The Cook The Thief & The lover with the help of YouTube tutorials.
I've also made a few small games in C++ and JavaScript, like Snake and Flappybird, just to practise — which I really enjoyed. That's why I wanted to make something with games for my final project.

The RFID scanner sends a badge's ID to the Pi, so the Pi can look up the player's name in a database. Using the control buttons and the joystick you can play games and navigate on the Pi.
The Pi shows what you're doing on the LED screen (driven by WS2812B). It sends sound effects to the speakers, and it sends the achieved score and the player's name to the web server, which then publishes them on the website. The website is reachable from a smartphone, tablet or PC.
